Wordpress 2 app for iPhone
Hey all!
I have been using the Wordpress 2 app on my iPhone since I got the phone in December.
I was just wondering if anyone else has the same problem I do? Everytime I write a post using the app, it puts ‘\n’ instead of the actual new line!
I get around this by saving it as a draft and then putting the real line breaks in at a PC later, but this sort of defeats the object.
If anyone knows a fix for this please let me know!
Anything will do!
You know when you know you should be doing something but just have to put it off by any means necessary? I do, I like to call it ‘revision’.
I’ve got some really hard exams coming up and shoul really be revising as much as possible. Believe me, that is my intention…
I try so hard but there are so many things to distract when im just sitting anywhere a computer where I am connected to the internet. I suppose that is my folly really, but I genuinely need the ‘net to help me revise and ask some questions of my peers.
Here are a few things that have recently kept me occupied and away from the dreaded specification language whore that is Maude:
- Rude Britain - Some of Britain’s rudest place names (be sure to look out for the, in my opinion, best one that didn’t even make the list. Hint: there is a link to it at the bottom)
- Farm Town - A persistant farm simulation game on Facebook that becomes massivley addictive after a while…
- Complaint letter to Vodafone from Mr. Jenkins - A huge letter of complaint directed at the CEO of Vodafone from a disgruntled business customer who just couldn’t take it anymore. Really long, but really worth the read!
Those should keep you going for a while when the revision just isn’t going anywhere and you need to take a break!
Leave a comment with other ones if you must…
Aftershock
As I wrote in this post, my close friend David Harris died in January and there are many many people who miss him very much.
I’m not quite sure what this post will say in total, just that it is about Dave’s death and how it has changed me. (more…)
Now I have time
As my last post suggested, I have currently been handed a lot more free time as I no longer have the time commitment of a girlfriend.
I’m just thinking that may be the blessing that the people who actually read this have been waiting for. This is because I am sure in all of my idleness, I’ll be blogging a lot more.
Can’t hurt can it?
Escaping into my own new world
I’ve been toying with the idea for some time now. I love reading fantasy novels for their escapism and the “if only” feeling that these other worlds bring when exploring them in your mind.
Whilst at uni, I used to get my fix from a great little shop called Bookends in Swansea town centre. The maximum book price i ever saw in there was £3.50 for a huge hardback novel that would easily wedge the door open on a windy day.
Sadly, I am back in grey Newport which, surprisingly, has its own Bookends store (which for some reason also has a sex shop upstairs - odd business model, I know). As soon as I realised this, I was in there and digging around in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy section to find some other great bargains, but to my horror all of the books were… NORMAL PRICE! Noooooo!
So, I might just write my own… (more…)
Sabotage
Someone has just logged onto my Windows Live Messenger (not hacked, they probably just guessed the password, there is a difference) and changed my name and deleted, by the looks of things, all of my contacts that were online at the time. Specifically, I have lost a few of my Uni friend’s addresses. If any of you read this, could you re-add me please so I can speak to you again.
Very strange…
Analogue samurai in a digital world
After a frustrating day day at work (no, I’m not even going to rant about it, eventhough on other days I would just post a rant instead of this) in the bank, I had a thought; what would happen if in Britain if we did away with physical cash all together? All money just being a number on a computer? (more…)
